How to cut How to hydrate Removing leaves Where to place

Let’s dive into the magical world of Peonies together! I think we all agree that Peonies are the It-flowers when it comes to the floral community. If you want to make the most of your peony bouquet and keep the blooms going strong, we've got some simple tips for you.

In this blog post, we'll show you how to care for peonies, so your Peonies will ‘pop’ open even prettier and faster, because we all know that Peonies can be extremely frustrating when they won’t open, right? They may be the It-flower, but they do play hard to get... Uh I mean open.

First, when your Peonies arrive after their journey, they want to take a quick ‘powernap’ (in water), like we all do after travelling.

"Let’s discuss this step by step"

Step 1: How to cut Peonies?

Grab a pair of sharp scissors (already tried our pink Sakagen scissors?), cut the stems at a sharp angle. This helps the peonies drink water more easily. Remove the leaves that would be underwater, as they can make the water dirty and lead to bacterial growth.

After their cutting session, you need to give them a gentle wash. That sticky layer on their heads needs to go down the drain, if you remove it, your Peonies will pop open way faster!

Step 2: How to hydrate Peonies?

Find a nice, clean vase and fill it with water that's not too hot or too cold, but just perfect. Give the vase a good rinse to make sure it's squeaky clean and free from any sneaky hidden dirt. Add flower food to your water. This special potion will give your peonies all the nutrients they need to stay happy and healthy. It's like a secret recipe for their blooming success ;)

Step 3: Remove the leaves

Take a moment each day to admire how stunning your Peonies are. Keep things neat by removing any droopy petals or leaves. Every few days, give them fresh water with flower food and trim their stems a bit to help them drink up more. Show your Peonies love, and they'll thank you with blooms that will make your heart sing.

Step 4: Where to place my Peonies

Peonies are hot, but they love to be cool, so give them a chill spot away from the sun and hot spots. They prefer a room temperature that's on the cooler side. Imagine peonies relaxing in a chilly spot, sipping water like a fancy beverage, and enjoying all the attention. Let them shine bright while staying comfortably cool.

So, there you have it, dear flower friend! Follow these easy steps, and you'll be the ultimate peony party planner. We deliver the freshest flowers, give them a snip-snip cut session, make sure they have a cozy and clean spot to call home, and keep them as cool as possible (don’t freeze them). Now, sit back, put your feet up, and let the peony extravaganza unfold before your eyes. Get ready for a flower fiesta!
