We are expanding our horizons with delivering flowers directly to you, a lot of you already met our South America stock but now we would love to introduce you to Hoek flowers - Africa Direct too. A place not just known for its safari and coastal drives but also for their flowers! Here at Hoek, we are so excited to start this new project. We’ve teamed up with around 80 of the best flower farms of South Africa, a country where flower growing is not just a business, but a passion!

Climate in South Africa

South Africa is based in the Southern Hemisphere and their climate is the best for growing flowers like Protea, Cape Greens, Banksia and Leucospermums. They can grow flowers that can’t be found anywhere else in the world, we might even have Peonies during our winters! How? While we might be pulling on our winter coats in Europe and North America, they're enjoying summer down there. This means they can supply you with some products pretty much year-round, sounds like a dream, right?

Like we mentioned above, we mainly deliver exotics in the beginning. Later, we will expand our assortment with Hydrangeas and other summer flowers like Peonies.

How to condition flowers from South Africa?

After such a long transport time your flowers crave a bit of attention. Handle them with care, give them fresh water with flower food and place them in a cool area.
